These rates apply on weekends, holidays, and mornings before 7.30am as well as evenings after 5pm.

Larger jobs, or jobs at height may require the assistance of an apprentice.

Island Work

Island work incurs an additional daily fixed charge to cover travel expenses. Hourly rates are charged as above.



Often our clients find it convenient if we remove rubbish from site. A minimum $50+GST charge applies for this service. Large amounts of rubbish will incur extra charges. If you would prefer us to leave rubbish at site, please state this prior to work commencing, or ask us at the start of our visit.

Drain Unblocking

  • Any drain unblocking service that we provide is charged at $250+ GST per hour.
  • There is a minimum one hour charge for this service, after this we charge to the nearest 15 minutes on the hourly rate stated above.
  • This all‐in‐one hourly rate includes hydro blasting, root cutting and CCTV inspection of the pipe work as applicable/required.
  • If a DVD of the drainage inspection is required there will be a flat fee of $25+GST for supplying the DVD

Vacuum Loader

  • Any vacuum loader service that we provide is charged at $415+GST per hour.
  • There is a minimum one hour charge for this service, after this we charge to the nearest 15 minutes on the hourly rate stated above.
  • This all‐in‐one hourly rate includes disposal of 1.5 cubic metres of waste.
  • Any disposal of waste over the included amount above is charged at the rate of $250+gst per cubic metre.

Gas Certification

We are required by law to issue gas certificates for all gas work we undertake, the charges below reflect the type of certificate we have to supply.

If your appliance is not compliant, we must issue a failed certificate. If you book to remedy the problems with compliance with us within 7 days of receiving your invoice, we will not charge for a further certificate when compliant (labour and material charges apply).

These charges are extra to any labour charges that are levied.

  • Low risk gas certificates = $30+ GST
  • General risk gas certificates = $95+ GST
  • High risk gas certificates = $145 GST

Leak Detection

Our leak detection services are most effective with leaks of over 3 litres per minute, in areas of low noise and detected on standard pipework sizes where the watermain course is known.

Leak detection is charged at $98+GST per hour. Our equiptment will either identify a leak(s), identify a possible location of a leak(s) or may not identify the location(s) of any leak(s). You will recieve written notification of this and our suggestions for remedial work to fix the leak.


We require a deposit before commencing work on jobs valued at over $1000, we will discuss this with you at the time of booking, or call us for more details.


Payment is due on completion or within 5 days.  

Payment can be made in cash, by cheque, or credit or debit card, as well as online bank transfer.

Payment made online via credit or debit card will incur a 2.9% processing fee. The total amount shown at the time of payment will include this fee which will be more than the fee stated on the invoice.

Some work will require us to ask for a deposit, or a progress payment.  See our Terms of Trade for details.


Some work requires our tradesmen to leave site to collect materials or dispose of rubbish, this time will be charged at normal hourly rates from the time we leave your site to the time we return.

If you feel you have been overcharged, or don't understand our invoice please contact the office immediately.

If you are unhappy with work done, the quality of the workmanship or the price charged, please let us know immediately, and within 5 days of receiving the invoice and tell us which charges you are concerned about and why. 


  • If you wish to cancel work done, please notify us as soon as possible.
  • We will be happy to reschedule work free of charge.
  • If you choose to cancel your appointment within 24 hours of your appointment time we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of $65.
